Welcome to my homepage! I am a steel guitar player as well as a programmer. As head honcho of this site, I feel that I need to thank my dad for the time and effort helping me get this site set up. I couldn't have done it without you, Dad! And most importantly, I need to thank God for all He has done in my life and blessed me with.

God is the #1 priority in my life. He comes before anything else I do. The world would be so much better if peoples' first priority in life was to serve Him.

I am currently being home schooled and like it a lot more than public schools. You can go at your own pace, skip about half the time because of the teacher trying to get the classroom to calm down, so you get more work done in a day. I was getting bored with the public school system and did not particularly like the middle school I would have gone to. And who wants to be taught how to add 5 years in a row? Ridiculous! Anyway, I love home schooling and I am truly thankful for my mom who puts forth the time and effort to do this.

I also play the pedal steel guitar. It is a beautiful instrument, and I enjoy playing it. For me it is good for relaxation after I finish programming for the day.

For six years I did martial arts training at American Kenpo Karate, and am currently a 1st degree black belt. If you are interested in the training program, check out their website.

In June 2002, I got my Technician ham radio license with the call KG4TVT and am fairly active on 2-meter repeaters in the Metro Atlanta area. In April 2003, I got my General class license, and in June 2003, I upgraded to Extra class. Finally, in July 2003, I got a new callsign, W4CGP, which used to belong to Chet Atkins.

I designed this site using PHP, MySQL, HTML 4, CSS, and a text editor. Following a redesign of the entire site in May 2001, all layout and formatting is done by a PHP class. This section of the site uses inheritence and a subclass of the main one to draw the menu bar you see. More recently, I worked to make all of the advanced features of the site (photo thumbnails and the menu bar on my pages) work in Netscape/Mozilla. Also, take a look at the pages on this site. Can you tell what's databased, what's dynamic, and what's static?

Articles

I have published information on a little-known mental disorder, Oppositional Reflex. Take a look!

New report! This one is on microgravity and the human body. I wanted to use some of the findings from STS-107 in the report but because Columbia is gone, that's not going to happen. That said, here it is in final form. The text is copyright © 2002-2003 Jonathan Cullifer and the images are in the public domain, to the best of my knowledge.
