Christmas Minor
It's almost Christmas
The time is near
Faces are everywhere
Smiles full of cheer
Leaning on my desk
My heart upside down
Jesus was born
and I'm going to drown
There's nobody there
To rest on, to lean on, to cry with
Heartfelt warmth turned cold
It's all just a myth
Talk is too cheap
Well-wishers don't wish
I've seen more love
From neighbors' goldfish
I have what I want
But not what I need
I can't ask but so much
And won't beg and plead
To open someone's heart
Locked away by time and fear
